Royal Race
Huzzah! The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is hosting its 2nd Annual Royal Race! The Royal Race features a 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, MN.
10K, 5K Run/Walk - $30 per entry **Price Includes free admission ticket to the Renaissance Festival & T-Shirt**
Race is for Ages 12+

DATE & TIME:
Sunday, August 28, 2011 - Rain or shine!
Registration: 8:00 - 8:45 a.m.
Run starts: 9:00 a.m.
Walk starts: Immediately following the 5K runners.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival - located 3 miles
south of Shakopee off Highway 169 (directions attached)
Registration and Start/Finish line at the front gates.
Run and Walk Route: Just outside the festival grounds (map will be available online soon)
PARKING:
The parking lot to the Renaissance Festival opens at 8:00am.
Please arrive early to allow enough time to register and receive your BIB number before 9:00 am.
You will be able to park in the general parking lot for FREE.
RACE COURSE:
The race course is not a paved course.
Please be aware that the course is a combination of gravel and grass. There are slight hills on the course but it is mostly level.
Vehicles will not be permitted on the race course unless there is an emergency.
Water stations will be located along the course; provided by Vitamin Water.
T-SHIRTS:
T-shirts will be available for pick-up after the race.
Pick up will be at the registration table near the front gates of the Renaissance Festival.
AWARDS:
Award Ceremony will be held at Noon (12pm) in the Special Events Field.
Awards will be given to the following categories:
- 1st Place overall for men and women
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place for men and women for each age group for 10K and 5K Runners
RESTRICTIONS:
The following will not be allowed on the race course: *NO EXCEPTIONS*
- Pets- Strollers
- Bicycles
- Wheelchairs
- Roller skates
- Rollerblades
- Skateboards
- Any Wheeled Vehicles
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
There will be no storage areas for personal belongings so we suggest leaving any personal items in your car.
As we are an outdoor venue, there are no showers or changing areas on site.
Please arrive ready to run/walk when you arrive.
There are portable bathrooms available near the race site.
