Please join us on June 29, 2013 for the 8th annual Croixathlon!
The 8th Annual CROIXATHLON* is a 600-yard open-water swim, 15-mile rolling hill bike, and 3-mile trail run event that serves as a fundraiser for YMCA Camp St. Croix.
Voted one of the Best Multi-Sport Events of the Year (three years running!) this event offers an unparalleled venue; the private sandy beach on the banks of the crisp, clear Lake St. Croix, a spacious and secure transition area in the heart of the camp, a bike route with pastoral views and rolling hills, and a run on the trails and paths of the stunning St. Croix River gorge. The Wild River Triathlon Club sets the course in accordance with USAT guidelines.
In addition to beautiful and challenging course, you can expect a supportive atmosphere and homespun charm. The race directors want you to enjoy some of the joy of camp that inspired this race in the first place, so prepare to chuckle, cheer and hand out some high-fives.
Croixathlon honors top elite finishers as well as age-group finishers by 10-year increments. And of course, the most coveted prize will be again be awarded to the fastest male and female up the beach ravine (the "beach path" is the 400-yard beach-to-bluff transition trek and a Croixathlon signature feature). The Queen and King will receive a cape, a crown and free admission to next year's Croixathlon.
Details about our complimentary child care, course specifics, volunteer opportunities, race-day details will be emailed to you in June.
And yes, there will be pirates. Argghhh!
