2013 Mankato Zombie Run
The 2013 Mankato Zombie Run will be held at the Mount Kato Ski area on Saturday April 27, 2013. There will be (optional) packet pick-up and a party on Friday night, April 26th (band and beer!). The race itself will be a 5k (3.1 mile) run through the trails and woods at the ski area, and through several dangerous areas of the undead. We will have the National Guard (volunteers in military costume) there to help you find your way thru the woods and zombies, and back to the finish line alive.
There are 2 Kids Races for kids ages 5 to 16, an Afternoon Race at 2 p.m. and a Night Race at 6 p.m. Parents can go free with their children, but cannot be actual racers, or get life-belts in the Kids Race; they are just there for support. Children CAN go in the other adult waves, but it is highly recommended that they go in one of the two kids waves for safety reasons.
Entrants can go as Zombies or Runners or Both, and can sign up as a team of Runners as well. To sign up as both a Zombie and Runner, sign up as a Runner and therre is a spot to add on as a Zombie too. More information can be found on the website at www.mankatozombierun.com.
