Working with People with Cancer
There are more than 11 million people in the United States living with a cancer diagnosis, nearly 4% of the American population. As baby boomers age and treatments for cancer continue to improve, the size of the cancer survivor population is expected to grow dramatically. The purpose of this workshop is to provide personal trainers and group exercise instructors with the necessary expertise for helping cancer survivors improve their physical function and achieve a higher quality of life. CECs are available for workshop attendees.
