2014 Harvest Duathlons

The Annual Harvest Duathlon began in 2010 and has grown to be the perfect summer race! In 2011, we added the Harvest Kid's Duathlon and in 2014 we began chip timing the kids (ages 5-10) as well! BOTH events are chipped timed by Endurance Promotions. The event is coordinated locally by a team of volunteers through Church for the Harvest whose goal is to provide you with a challenging yet enjoyable Duathlon experience! Excellence is our goal!
The race begins at the Alexandria Discovery Middle School in Alexandria MN which is located at 510 North McKay Ave
(From I-94: North on Highway 29, East on 3rd Avenue, North on McKay; and from Highway 29 (Parkers Prairie): South on McKay Avenue)
3rd ANNUAL KID'S DUATHLON - AUGUST 29, 2014
*AGES 5-10 ARE NOW CHIP TIMED!
Registration at 5:00pm - Races begin at 6:00pm
$25 Registration (Includes t-shirt for those who pre-register before August 15th)
Categories: Medals to top three boys and girls in each category. Participation awards for all!
5-6 years (1/4m - .7 mile - 1/4 mile)
7-8 years (1/2 m - 1.4 mile - 1/2 m)
9-10 years (1/2m - 2.1 mile - 1/2m)
11+ may register for the adult race the following day
4 & under - Registration $5.00. Awards will be given but no t-shirts (We will have a limited quantity of t-shirts available for purchase for the 4 & under kids).
100 yd run - 200 yd bike - 100 yd run (on dirt school track).
ADULT DUATHLON SCHEDULE - AUGUST 30, 2014
Run 2.5 miles; Bike 14.75 miles; Run 2.3 miles
7:00 - 8:00am - Registration with packet pickup and body marking
8:30am - Mandatory pre-race meeting
9:00am - Race begins
Awards ceremony will begin when last award qualifier has completed the race.
Maximum 200 entries
Dry-wicking t-shirts for the first 50 who register! All other pre-registrations will receive a regular short-sleeve t-shirt!
Pre-registrations closes at midnight August 28.
$30 prior to July 1
$40 July 1-August 28
$50 August 29-30 - Register at the door.
$55 prior to July 1
$70 July 1- August 28
$90 August 29-30 - Register at the door
There will be no refunds.
The run course will be 2.5 miles through a residential area and newly paved trail with 1/3 mile on gravel.
The bike course will be 14.75 miles through the Alexandria area countryside along rolling hills.(The route has changed this year so please check here for the new route). All cyclists must observe MN traffic laws. Certified hard-shelled bike helmets are required. No listening devices are allowed on the bike course. Drafting is prohibited.
The run course will be 2.3 miles through a residential area and newly paved trail with 1/3 mile on gravel.

Given to top 3 for male and female in the following age groups:
11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Also, awards will be given for the top three relay teams (not gender specific as teams may be mixed).
