Lakes Country Triathlon - 2010
The Kiwanis Club of Baxter Lakes Area and Friends is proud to continue and enhance the tradition of this beautiful and exciting triathlon. The Brainerd Lakes area has long been a great vacation destination and now an incredible location for the final triathlon in the Tri Minnesota Series. The Lakes Country Triathlon continues to build into one of the best triathlons in the state.
The race begins with a ½-mile swim in quiet Whipple Lake (known for its calm waters), then switches to a 17-mile bike through the rolling hills surrounding the Baxter/Brainerd Lakes area, and ends with a very flat 3.9 mile run through a quiet residential area. The Lakes Country Triathlon is a great race, be it your first or fiftieth!
Proceeds raised from this event will be put back into the community to benefit the youth in the Lakes Area.
