The St. Paul Winter Carnival is celebrating it’s 125th year and also that it is the nation’s oldest winter festival. There are many well known carnival events including the Grand Day parade featuring this year’s Royal Family, the Torchlight parade, ice sculpting contests and snow sculpting contests.
But there are also a number of sporting events associated with the carnival throughout the duration of the event. Curling, hockey, softball, ski jumping and even St. Paul Bounce Team Tryouts. But one of the featured events that highlights the best of winter activities in the St. Paul community is put on by the Sisu Nordic Ski Foundation, a ZapEvent client. The King Boreas Ski Race and Family Outdoors event.
“Bringing back the tradition of racing at Phalen as part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. A family friendly event with something for everyone. 15km skate race, 7.5km tour, kids races, ice bike racing, ski-jorging and more. Get out and enjoy the Minnesota winter!”
