About the Minnesota Multisport Awards
(as posted by Minnesota Tri News on Nov 1st, 2011) The winner will be revealed on Saturday, November 19 at the 13th annual Minnesota Multisport Awards celebration at Gear West Bike and Triathlon in Long Lake.  The number of votes a race receives is divided into the number of participants in that event to determine % of participation. For instance, if a race had 600 participants and 30 of those entrants voted for that event, that race received support from 5% of its participants. Historically, an event needs to receive support from more than 10% of its entrants to make the Top 5, and 15-20% to win.  48 of the 80+ adult multi-sport events received votes this year
