Event in the Spotlight: The Glacial Ridge Health System Scrub Run/Walk

The Glacial Ridge Health System Scrub Run/Walk is August 29, 2015. Spend a summer morning running or walking along the beautiful Lake Minnewaska in your favorite pair of scrubs. The Scrub Run/ Walk is a 5K race starting and finishing at the Lakeside Ballroom (City Park) Parking Lot in Glenwood, Minnesota.

The Glacial Ridge Health System Scrub Run/WalkRegardless of your fitness level, you are sure to have fun at this event. Whether you are competing for first place or looking for an event the whole family can participant in, this is the race for you! The Glacial Ridge Health System is committed to motivating everyone to keep moving in order to better your health, no matter what your speed is.

Participants and fans are encouraged to dress in their best scrubs. Gather together all of your medical themed apparel, the more creative the better! Some apparel will be available for participants on race day on a first come first served basis.

The race will be timed by Pickle Events for those looking for a competitive race. After the race, medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in various age categories. Ages will be divided into 6 categories: 17 and younger, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Online registration is open until August 27, 2015. Register for the Scrub run/walk by June 16 to register at a reduced price.
