2010 WEMS 12 Hours of Blue Mound

THANKS AND I HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT OUT. The Toughest Race in the Midwest! This is the 6th stop of the Wisconsin Endurance Mountainbike Series for 2010. Blue Mound State Park in Blue Mounds, WI is famous for it's tight, rocky, technical terrain. Returning to the course for 2010 is the Over Lode Trail in Pleasure Valley. This trail is more open and flowing, but also climbs and descends more than courses from years past. 12 hour, 6 hour, and 3 hour events are available for you to choose from. 12 Hour events start at 8:00 AM, 6 hour events start at 1:00 PM and 3 hour events start at 3:00 PM. Teams consist of two to four riders participating in relay. The classes are male, female and open. Solo events are also available for male, female and singlespeed. The 12 Hours of Blue Mound is home to the Wisconsin Singlespeed Championship race for 2010. The rules are pretty simple...One bike...One gear...The first One to finish will be the winner. Male and female categories. Start time is 10:00 AM. Race distance TBA.
How to Get There
Blue Mound State Park is just north of the Village of Blue Mounds, about 25 miles west of Madison via US Highway 18/151. From Highway 18/151, go north on County Highway F and turn left on County Highway ID into Blue Mounds. Go west on Highway ID about a half mile to Mounds Road. Turn right (north) and follow Mounds Road north through town. (Mounds Road becomes Mounds Park Road once you leave the village.) The park entrance is one mile north of the intersection of Highway ID and Mounds Road.
