The purpose of continuing education training for city clerks, finance officers, and others at the the Municipal Professionals Academy is:
To provide training opportunities for clerks and municipal administrators so they can continue to get useful, up-to-date information that will assist them in their job performance.
-To provide more in-depth training on a range of topics.
-To help qualify interested clerks for membership in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks’ Academy.
-Opportunities to meet clerks from across the state - make friends and business acquaintances.
-Updates on new laws, programs, and technology affecting Iowa municipal government.
-Opportunity for credit toward recertification for IMFOA sponsored certifications.
-Participate in building professional skills and credentials as a municipal clerk/finance officer.
