12th Annual Pumpkin Run & Walk

Thank you for your interest in the Northland's favorite, and biggest, Halloween-themed running and walking race. The 12th Annual Pumpkin Run & Walk 5K race will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minnesota.

Held each year in late October, our event has grown to over 400 official participants and many more spectators.

Featuring an accurate, excellent course, the Pumpkin Run welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities. From responses on post-race runners’ surveys, the Pumpkin Run has a reputation for great atmosphere, quality organization, and being an excellent value.

Entry fee: Preregistered by Monday, October 16, $15.00; after October 16 and on race morning, $20.00.
Preregistered school-age and college students received by Monday, October 16, $12.00; after October 16, $20.00.

Your registration fee includes long-sleeve finisher t-shirt, refreshments at the finish, a certified race course, professional chip timing and results, and the chance to win great door prizes!

We have a race field limit of 400 participants, please register early so you don't miss out on our very fun race!

We will make our best effort to have finisher shirts in the correct sizes for all pre-registered participants. We cannot guarantee shirt availability and correct sizes for participants who register close to race day or on race day morning.

Costumes: To celebrate the theme of the race, participants are encouraged (but certainly not required) to wear Halloween costumes or wear orange clothing. Prizes will be given for the best costumes, and it's a pretty big deal to win a Best Costume award...It’s fun to wear orange!
Awards: Top three overall male and female finishers; Age group awards to top male and female in each of the following age groups:
--14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+;
--Top male and female FDLTCC student (must be pre-registered)
--Best Costume (multiple awards)
We award a medal AND a pumpkin to first place in each age division, and a pumpkin to second and third place in each age division. Run fast and win a pumpkin!!

Amenities: Indoor facilities and warm gathering areas before and after the race, healthy refreshments after the race, plenty of free parking in campus lots, fabulous door prize drawings.
Results: Will be posted on the college website at www.fdltcc.edu and at www.gopherstateevents.com after the event.
We use the most accurate chip timing available and the expert services of the race timing professionals at Gopher State Events.

Course: The course starts and finishes at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
Essentially flat, the course features a fast downhill stretch with a return trip up the same hill.
Mile markers will be posted and traffic control measures will be in place.
No water stops on the course, but water will be available at the start and finish area of the race.

The Pumpkin Run race course is certified by USA Track & Field and meets all measurement standards. (Certification #MN-11036- RR).

Sorry, no strollers, roller skates, skateboards, baby joggers bicycles, or pets are allowed on the race course. This will be enforced on race day morning and anyone found violating this rule will be asked to leave the race course.
