Did you know funding cuts to meals on wheels programs has made Ohio number one in the Midwest for food insecurity among older adults?
For thousands of people in our community (including 1 in 5 children) the time around Halloween is not just filled with make believe monsters. Because they live everyday with a very real one ..it's called Hunger.
Race to a Million is a philanthropic effort undertaken by Human Arc to help support the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in it's fight against hunger. Over the last five years Human Arc has provided over one Million meals to those in need. It's a great start but there is a lot more to be done.
Join us at this year's Race to a Million. You can walk run or just have fun scaring away hunger.

1K Walk 9 a.m.
On-site registration begins 7:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7.
5K Run/Walk Pre-Registration: $20/person ($25 race day)
1k walk-$10 per person-under 3 free
Race to a Million is a family-friendly event with a 5k timed run, $2000 in prize money, 1k family walk (bring your kids and dogs) free t-shirts with registration. Trick or Treat, food , fun and more.
The top three overall male and the top three female finishers in the 5K RUN will receive cash prizes of $500 (first), $300 (second) and $200 (third). You must register for the timed-run to be eligible.
Top Finisher Recognition
The top three finishers in each of the following age groups will also receive recognition: 14-and-under, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, and 70-and-over.
