The Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin and the Children’s Theater of Madison are proud to announce the area’s first sensory friendly live theater performance. This special performance of “Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” is specifically designed to serve youth with autism spectrum disorders and their families.


Allowances and accommodations have been made in the theater and to the performance so that individuals with autism can enjoy quality live theater in a welcoming and comfortable environment.


Supports include; “Meet Your Seat,” an opportunity for patrons to see where they will be seated during the performance, staffing of autism specialists before and during the performance, modifications to sound and lighting, fidgets available, staffed relaxation and activity areas, family bathrooms and reduced performance pricing.


Who: Open only to those on the autism spectrum and their families.


What: Seats for this sensory friendly show are $7 each. Seating will be assigned upon arrival at the venue. Once seats are reserved, they are not transferable or refundable.
