The Samuel Femiano Men's Studies Lecture Fund

This endowment supports The Femiano Lecture in Men's Studies given annually at the AMSA conference and delivered by a noted scholar or practitioner whose work advances the critical study of men and masculinities.  Established in honor of AMSA's first President and long-time Board member Sam Femiano, this lecture supports AMSA's goal of encouraging, developing and sustaining excellence in the field of Men's Studies.  The AMSA Board of Directors has established an initial goal of $20,000 for this new Lecture fund.   Note: A $5,000 match has been established for all contributions made April 30th, 2010..  The first $5,000 given will be matched on a dollar for dollar basis by the organization.

AMSA Tax Deductible Contributions

Gifts of any size are welcome.  Non-designated gifts will be used for our conference planning and operating budgets.  We seek to keep our conference costs as low as possible while maintaining adequate quality and offering subsidized or gratis registration fees for students.  We are also open to discussing gifts designated for specific purposes should this be of interest to a donor.  Please contact the AMSA President if this is of interest to you.  We will soon be entering our third decade of promoting scholarship in men's studies and we are eager to continue this service and growing related opportunities in the future.  AMSA is a non-profit organization and gifts are tax deductible.
